LiveUp’s Primary Service is a Fiscal Sponsor (bridge gap) program for life basic needs (food, shelter, clothes, transportation, insurance, school items, utilities, furniture, etc)
- Target is to sponsor short-term financial needs for 3 month, 6 month and 12 month terms.
- Individuals 18 and over (with less than 50K household income) and Small organizations at least 1 years old (with less than 50K revenue a year) qualify for sponsorship.
- We sponsor 24 people a year (2 per month), 24K year and then raise every year by 10% or more
- Sponsor types are equal to or less than 2000 (Type 1 – 25 – 250, Type 2 – 255 -500, Type 3 – 505 – 750, Type 4 – 755 – 1005, Type 5 – 1010 – 1500, Type 6 – 1505 – 2000)
- Flat one-time fee for repayment is based on Sponsorship level and is divided equally among payment terms (Type 1/2) 3 Month Term or (Type 3/4) 6 Month term or (Type 5/6) 12 Month term.
- Type 1 – $25 fee
- Type 2 -$50 fee
- Type 3 – $75 fee
- Type 4 – $100 fee
- Type 5 – $125 fee
- Type 6 -$150 fee
- Late fees are an additional $5 each time the payment is late. All payments are due by the 22nd of every month. Your final payment will include an extra $10 to be given to the LiveUp Fund to sponsor another applicant in the new year. If your microloan is paid off on time, you could be eligible for a new micro loan in the same calendar year.
What is the criteria to borrow? (Application)
- Income 50K annually or less for Individuals and 50K annually or less for small organizations (Tax Return from previous year)
- Budget (expenses/income) and Emergency
- Checking account balance – 3 month statements
- Savings account balance – 3 month statements
- Basic Need Help – Proof of Need and Explanation (Bill, etc)
- Sponsor Type (Type 1 – 6)
- Repayment plan terms – How to repay micro loan 3 months (Type 1/2) or 6 months (Type 3/4) or 12 months (Type 5/6)
- Attend LRU Basic Adulting 101 online course and take quiz/assessment before the funding and after the funds follow-up course within 30 days
- Reciprocal Clause – Your final payment will include an extra $10 to be given to the LiveUp Fund to sponsor another applicant
